Iceylithe Bintong Wang

She is a multisensory artist and designer whose practice moves between sculptural installation, craft design, ritual space, experimental performance, music-based moving image, photography, painting and writing. Perceiving and creating with a childlike sincerity and openness, she develops her research across three scales — the cosmic, the biological and the elemental — exploring the relationships between climate, geological time, life and perception.

Moving through mountains, ice fields, coastlines and geological remnants, she follows the faintly emerging “Mother Tongue of the Earth” among birds and animals, plants, minerals and natural traces. She regards design as a medium for contemplating living relations across the blurred boundaries of time, place and language. Through clay, water, metal, wood, stone and naturally collected materials, she investigates how vitality becomes visible, continues and transforms within matter, touching upon the flows, balances and symbiotic relations within elemental and material structures.

Her work arises from a perception of the miracles and wisdom of the universe: those accidental yet deeply understood encounters, and the quiet entanglements that unfold between humans, species, landscapes and matter. From this, she asks: when we eventually return to the geological layers, what traces will remain? When future forms of life look back into the past, will they still be able to perceive the tender relationships that once existed among different species?

Between aesthetics and nature, science and spirituality, personal perception and ecological reality, her work extends into reflections on geological environments, biological transformation, the climate crisis and care for life. Through her practice, she hopes to awaken an awareness and appreciation of life and the beauty of nature, opening a space on emotional and spiritual levels for ease, care, inspiration and ecological empathy. For her, “mother tongue” does not belong solely to the dictionary of human language; rather, it is an ancient form of utterance permeating all things as they respond to, depend on and coexist with one another across deep time.

She wishes to gesture lightly toward that depth, just as fleeting lives give form to eternity.

她是一位多感官艺术家与设计师，实践游走于雕塑装置、工艺设计、仪式空间、实验表演、音乐影像、摄影、绘画与写作之间。她以孩子般的初心感知和创作，从宇宙、生物与物质元素三重尺度展开研究，探索气候、地质时间、生命与感知之间的关系。

游走于山脉、冰原、海岸与地质遗存之间，她追随鸟兽、植物、矿石与自然痕迹间隐约浮现的“地球母语”，将设计视为思索朦胧时间、地域和语言边界的生命关系媒介。在陶土、水、金属、木石与自然采集物之间，她探寻生命性如何在物质中显化、延续与转变，并由此触及元素和物质构架之中的流动、平衡与共生。

她的创作源于对宇宙奇迹与智慧的感知：那些不经意间却心领神会的相遇，那些在人、物种、地景与物质之间悄然发生的缠绵。她由此追问：当我们终将归于地质层之后，会留下怎样的痕迹？当后世的生命窥探往昔时，是否还能看见不同物种之间曾经存有的温柔关系？

在美学与自然、科学与灵性、个人感知与生态现实之间，她的作品延伸出对地质环境、生物变迁、气候危机与生命关怀的思索。她希望通过创作唤起人们对生命和自然之美的觉察与珍惜，在心灵与精神层面打开一种通向放松、关怀、启发与生态共情的空间。对她而言，“母语”并非仅存在于人类的词典，而是渗透于万物在深层时间中彼此回应、依存与共生的古老言说。

她愿轻盈地指向那处深邃，正如短暂的生命构筑了永恒。
